Pre-Employment Screening
 
Goodman Bus Service employs a standard pre-screening process for all drivers to ensure that we are getting the highest quality possible.
Interview Process:
Each candidate goes through a formal interview designed to help determine the candidate’s eligibility for duty at Goodman Bus Service. The interview is designed to determine the following.
·         Individual Personality: It is important that the candidate exhibits an ability to communicate effectively and has the ability to listen carefully.
·         Assertiveness: It is important that candidates show the ability to make good decisions and handle situational circumstances in a professional and pleasant manner.
·         Safety: Does the candidate express a concern and desire to perform the job safely.
Test and Certifications:
Each candidate must meet the minimum certifications required by law and must also submit and successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and a DOT physical.
Further screening includes:
·         Criminal checks on all operators.
·         Motor vehicle checks on all operators.
·         State certified defensive driving course bi-annually.
·         Additional road test performed by Goodman Bus Service.
·         Operators complete a 12 hour custom orientation course.
